Telenor to hold auction for special (0)976-prefixed numbers
Up to 100 numbers to be auctioned
- Profits to be used to fund Happy Haven Humanitarian Project (HHHP)
December 28, 2016, Yangon – Telenor Myanmar Limited (“Telenor”) today announced that it will hold its fourth public special numbers auction that will provide customers with the opportunity to bid for 100 special numbers. Profits gained from this auction will be channelled to fund Happy Haven Humanitarian Project (HHHP).
These numbers – with the prefix (0)976 – offer special numbers in popular variations like (0)976 6666666, (0)9769999999, (0)976 5555555, and others with similar numerical patterns. Reserve bidding prices begin at MMK 5 million for seven & eight repeated numbers and MMK 3 million for the rest numbers. The process will be assured by law firm MN Associates.
The auction will take place at the Sedona Hotel in Yangon on Thursday, 19 January, 2017. Interested bidders may register by sending a request with their name, mailing address, email address, NRC or company details, and bank account details to firstname.lastname@example.org January 12th , 2017. Due to seats limitation, Telenor will select and confirm successful participants before the auction event. The company will also hold future auctions in other states and divisions of Myanmar, for which dates and times will be announced in the future.

Happy Haven Humanitarian Project (HHHP)
The project aims to provide HIV positive orphans with parental love and care in a familiar environment. The project takes care the children from one and half year to 12 years old age living with HIV positive with both parents deceased, with one or both parents still living but in no position to provide necessary care and attention.Special consideration is also given to non-orphan HIV positive children on a case by case basis. The project now has 117children.
