Partners to be supported by Telenor's world-class distribution system and best practices, training and attractive incentive programs
(Yangon, Myanmar - November 19, 2013) Telenor Myanmar today launched a partner program that will create new business opportunities for local businesses and entrepreneurs looking to become authorized distributors and franchisees of Telenor's products and services for customers in Myanmar.
Telenor Myanmar's partner program will enable partners to leverage the company's advanced technology, international best practices and attractive partner incentive programs to manage and grow their business with success. For example, Telenor will support local partners in deploying its well-proven Asia distribution model, designed to monitor and manage the entire distribution network efficiently and reliably. That model has already been successfully implemented in other Telenor operations in Asia, including India and Thailand. Telenor's world-class partner program also includes training and development programs as part of the Telenor Sales Academy that will arm partners with the skills and knowledge to help them effectively carry out their sales and distribution functions, such as product knowledge development, field sales and commission management, among others.
The partner program is designed to help Telenor's partners meet consumer demand for the latest mobile communications products and services, such as SIM cards, recharge vouchers and other value-added services. In addition to offering convenience to customers by bringing products and services close to them through an extensive distribution network, Telenor will also ensure a quality customer service experience, appointing local franchisees to operate Telenor Express retail stores where customers can walk-in for immediate sales and service needs, as well as having a customer service call center for product and service enquiries and customer care support.

Telenor will work with authorized distribution and retail partners in all regions and states of Myanmar to establish a network of 100,000 retailers within five years of the network and service roll-out. Telenor expects to begin its network rollout within eight months of signing the license agreement with the Myanmar government.
