SIMs Registration services available during 1-4 December trade fairs in Yangon

November 30, 2016, Yangon – Telenor Myanmar Limited (“Telenor”) offers SIM registration and other services at its display booth at a trade fair in Yangon from December 1 to 4.

To register their SIMs, the subscribers are required to provide a copy of their national registration card (passport for foreigners) or other applicable identity cards. Telenor offers free gifts to those who come and register during the trade fair. Telenor has introduced weekly and monthly ‘SIM Registration Days’ across the country to inform users registration benefits and help them get registered on the spot. On November 28 and 19, Telenor also marked its network expansion and held ‘SIM Registration Days’ in eastern Shan State including Tachileik and Kyaing Tone.

Via Telenor’s multiple online and physical registration channels, users can not only easily register their SIM but also help register mobile numbers of their family members and friends on behalf if they have required documents alongside and active SIM for accepting verification code.

Access to Telenor’s online solutions are available via, on any mobile or WiFi data network. To register through the mobile app, customers may download the ‘My Telenor’ app from for both Android and Apple devices.

To register via website, the subscriber first needs to enter the above website link to reach the page that describes the requirements to register their SIMs. By clicking “Start Registration” button the subscriber will be directed to the “Sign in with your CONNECT account” page. The subscriber needs to fill up phone numbers to be registered and then clicks “Sign In”. The subscriber then needs to fill up a verification code that will be sent to the submitted phone number and then click “Sign in”. Clear front and rear photocopies of the national registration card (or) other applicable identity cards are required to be uploaded. For the final step, the subscriber needs to click “Confirm” to successfully submit his/her SIM registration form. Subscribers will later be informed their SIM registration status via SMS.
