Most affordable SIM now available for tourists visiting Myanmar
November 17, 2016- Yangon - Telenor Myanmar Limited (“Telenor”) has made its most affordable SIM package available for tourists visiting Myanmar. The package will help tourists stay connected 24/7 with their family and friends during their stay in the country.

Our product is designed to provide visitors to Myanmar with easy-, peace-of-mind access to stay connected with their love ones round-the-clock throughout their stay here. The package includes 5GB Smart Internet, free 50 minutes for local calls to all operators, 1,500 Kyat credits for phone calls and data usage, and free both incoming calls and SMS. The SIM will be valid for 14 days upon activation by first call. The package price is 15,000Kyat.
Local calls to all operators will be charged 25Kyat per minute during peak hour and 20Kyat for off peak hour. SMSs will be charged 15Kyat per message. The data rate will be 8Kyat/MB during peak hour and 6Kyat/MB for off peak hour. From 10 am to 10 pm is peak hour and from 10pm to 10 am is off peak hour.
The most affordable international call rates start from 100Kyat per minute to Canada, and 200Kyat to Thailand, China, Malaysia and Singapore. All international rates by destinations can be found at Telenor Myanmar website. International SMS costs only 30Kyat to everywhere.
After 14 days, when the pack validity is over or all credits are used, SIM cards will still be valid as standard life cycle if users top up within 30 days. Customers are eligible to subscribe all other promotions and offers except “Kyo Thone” – Emergency Credit Borrow service.
Tourist SIMs will be available at airports, hotels, travel agents and Telenor-branded shops in major cities across the country.
