The telecom industry has the power to transform society, which is why corporate responsibility is an important part of how Telenor operates. Ensuring sustainable business is an important part of all of Telenor's activities in Myanmar, as well as in all of our markets globally.
On 28 March 2016, Telenor Myanmar gave an update on sustainability in a briefing open to media, NGOs, investors and the public. Held in Yangon, the briefing featured a session specifically on Sustainability challenges in Myanmar.
Sustainable and responsible business practices will continue to be a focus for Telenor in the country. Telenor is committed to setting the right standards for its industry in Myanmar, and continues to call on all related parties to play a role, and to media and civil society to continue raising scrutiny and expectations of all players.
