  • Customers can be connected using either mobile or Wi-Fi with affordable price
  • Three different data packages available to provide simple and convenient use of internet to customers in Yangon and Mandalay

Telenor and Myanmar Net have joined forces and developed a specially crafted ‘A-wa-thone Data’ plan available for Telenor customers. The innovative data plan comes in three different size packages, which all include free and unlimited access to Myanmar Net Wi-Fi coverage areas - 18 townships in Yangon and 3 townships in Mandalay.

“Telenor is pleased to collaborate with Myanmar Net to offer the first plan in Myanmar that fully combines the strength of mobile networks with the benefits of Wi-Fi technology. We are always trying to innovate powerful products that offer affordable ways for our customers to stay connected, and with ‘A-wa-thone Data’, all subscribers can use Telenor’s fast and award-winning network, and for no additional cost enjoy unlimited access to Myanmar Net’s Wi-Fi network,” said Joslin Myrthong, Chief Marketing Officer of Telenor Myanmar.

“A-wa-thone Data’ plans will serve Telenor customers to easily and seamlessly access Myanmar Net Wi-Fi service,” said Kyaw Min Tun of Myanmar Net.

‘A-wa-thone Data’ plan has three different options; 300MB, 500MB or 2GB with different validities, for customers to make their own choice depending on their data preference. Using internet on their mobile data, customers can enjoy Telenor’s fastest internet speed, and when they are in the coverage area of Myanmar Net, they can easily switch to Wi-Fi with unlimited data usage.

To subscribe to the plan, customers need to dial *979*18# from their Telenor SIM and choose one out of the 3 options that pop up on the screen. A SMS message will be sent when the plan subscription is successful.

Telenor Myanmar is serving more than 19 million customers across the country through its award winning fastest mobile network in Myanmar for 2017. Telenor’s 4G network is now successfully covered close to 140 cities and towns throughout the country.
