Telenor provides wellness and functional workout videos assisting customers via Telenor Wellness to stay fit and healthy while under stay-at-home restrictions

Always aiming to bring more to customers’ lives through its MyTelenor App, Telenor launches a new partnership with Myanmar fitness model Thandar Hlaing’s “T Fitness”
July 8th, 2020, YANGON – Today, Telenor introduces Myanmar’s first telco-fitness program, called Telenor Wellness, on its one-stop platform, the MyTelenor App. Telenor Wellness provides health tips and weekly updated online workout videos, available to Telenor customers free of charge anywhere, anytime. To provide expert tips and guidance for how to stay fit and healthy, Telenor has partnered with T Fitness, founded by Thandar Hlaing, a fitness model and lifestyle influencer.
According to a survey conducted by U-Report in May, almost 40% of 7540 respondents said they lacked regular physical activity during the COVID-19 stay-at-home period. People have spent significantly more time at home, making it necessary to get innovative to stay fit and healthy. Responding to this need, Telenor Wellness offers tips and guidance for how to improve personal wellness at home. The World Health Organization (WHO) also recommends people of all ages to look after their health and wellbeing, and has promoted a recent campaign called #HealthyAtHome.

Telenor users can access Telenor Wellness workout videos easily from anywhere just by logging in to the MyTelenor App. Four workout videos by Thandar Hlaing and instructors from T Fitness will be available on MyTelenor App, with videos designed to support both men and women, suitable for any fitness level.

The exercise videos are exclusive and available for all Telenor customers, and only data charges will be applied while watching the videos. Content will be available starting 8 July 2020. Currently, functional exercise program will be featured in videos around 5 minutes’ duration. A new video will be uploaded every week for four weeks, focusing on different parts of the body. There will be challenge activities on social media with prizes for Telenor customers, and Telenor aims to add new and useful content on health and fitness via Telenor Wellness for its users in the future.
