Expanded 4G/LTE services in Myawaddy on 3rd August
More cities to be covered in 2017
Telenor Myanmar’s 4G/LTE services are now available in 26 top cities across the country with the addition of recent launch in Kayin State’s Myawaddy, a border town with Thailand, on 3rd August.

With close to240 sites, Telenor has network footprint in all7 townships in Kayin State including Myawaddy. Telenor is now providing 4G services in Hpa-an andMyawaddy in Kayin State using 1800 and 2100 MHz frequency bands.
Celebration in Myawaddy
As part of the celebration of 4G services launch in Myawaddy, Telenor employees visited the city on 3rd August, met the customers and dealers on the streets to introduce the services and gathered feedback on customer experience. 4G capable U-SIM replacement was also done as part of Telenor’s on-ground activities during the launch. Other entertainment programs such as Kayin Traditional Performance, magic show, andphoto booths coupled with local bands and singers’ performance were also presented for the public.
Largest 4G network in Myanmar
Telenor has built the largest mobile network in Myanmar, and over the last 12 months the company has gradually introduced 4G services to 26 major cities and towns in Nay Pyi Taw union territory and all states and regions except Kayah and Chin.
