Largest 4G/LTE network in Myanmar
More cities to be covered by the end of 2017
Telenor Myanmar has expanded its 4G/LTE network to29 top cities across the country as part of the company’s commitment to delivering best customer experience. The latest additions to the 4G/LTE network are the recent launches in Hpakant in Kachin State in early October, and in Kalay and Tamu in Sagaing Region in September.
“We are focusing on rolling out reliable 4G/LTE services forall of our customers requiring smooth streaming of movies and consistent gaming experience. More than 65% of Telenor’s 19 million customers are already data users and we will continue to optimize and enhance our network to cater the higher data adaption among our customers,” said Joslin Myrthong, Chief Marketing Officer at Telenor Myanmar.
“Hpakanthas been recently added to our 4G/LTE network this month and we are witnessing higher data consumption in the city soon after the 4G/LTE introduction. That encourages us to expand our network to more areas, and customers from more major cities can expect to enjoy our 4G/LTE services by the end of the year,” Myrthong said.
When customers upgrade to higher speed network downloads will be faster and they will no longer experience buffering. In order for customers to enjoy superb data experience without interruption customers are advised to subscribe attractive data packages such as Telenor’s Data Su Boo. Telenor has made the most affordable data packs available starting from 799 Kyat for a month.
Largest 4G network in Myanmar
Telenor has built the largest mobile network in Myanmar, and over the last 12 months the company has gradually introduced 4G services to 29 major cities and towns in Nay Pyi Taw union territory and all states and regions except Kayah, Chin and Ayeyarwady.
