Telenor network has witnessed an increase of data and voice usages on the day nationwide matriculation exam results were announced online and at respective schools across the country.
According to an analysis voice usage increased close to 18 percent and data usage 1 percent on 2nd June compared to previous Saturday. Usages comparing with 1st June showed voice usage was up more than 10 percent and data usage 5 percent.

We are witnessing increased use of voice and data services during important celebrations or events and announcement of matriculation exam results is also one of them. While demand on good quality voice services still continues to be high, there is a growing opportunity for public services to be available online. Close to 790,000 students sat for the matriculation exam in Myanmar’s all regions and states in the 2017-2018 academic year and about 33 percent of them passed the exam, according to the results released on 2nd June. Myanmar Ministry of Education’s has made matriculation exam results available online a few months after the country’s telecom sector was transformed 4 years ago.
