Safety and Security

The safety and security of our personnel is a key priority for Telenor, as defined in our policy framework.

In Myanmar we actively conduct work-related risk analysis and have put in place in line with international best practices to ensure that we are able to eliminate or control hazards and risks before deploying our employees to any area. As we recognize that the country’s infrastructure, related to emergency and medical services is relatively poor, Telenor has established processes for handling of possible incidents.

If the need should arise for services from private security providers, Telenor will ensure that this is according to best practices and will undertake training and development to ensure health, safety and security performance according to our requirements.
