Telenor Myanmar was declared a successful applicant for the nationwide telecommunications license on June 27, 2013, and signed its license agreement with the Myanmar government on 5 February 2014. The mobile network, launched on 26 September 2014 has now become the largest 3G mobile network in the country and is expected to cover 90% of the population within 5 years.
