Senior Officer, Regional Field Support

CAREER OBJECTIVE

To perform basic activities in monitoring technical field activities, including CM and PM of base stations and transport network, as well as in monitoring vendors in each region, in order to ensure that technical field operations and activities are performed efficiently (by organization’s implementation team and vendors) as planned and that resources are being optimized, as well as to ensure that activities are in alignment with performance goals and standards

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure understanding of 24/7 operations engineering (front-end) policy and procedures, in order to understand tasks needed to be carried out, according to function’s policies and frameworks, as well as to ensure alignment and compliance with legal regulations and with Telenor Group’s overall direction, standards and governance
  • Collaborate basic activities with relevant functions (such as Implementation function and Sales and Distribution function) regarding field operations important procedures, requirements and specifications, in order to identify key activities that should be monitored and to ensure that roll-out procedures are implemented accurately, appropriately and efficiently by the organization’s roll-out teams and by vendors as planned
  • Perform basic activities to monitor vendor activities regarding roll-out and maintenance of technical and engineering operations, including CM and PM of base stations and transport network, to ensure activities are executed according to plans, and to identify and deal with potential issues appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Provide basic technical and engineering support, if necessary, to ensure smooth roll-out operations in each region
  • Perform basic site inspection and preventive maintenance, as well as coordinate basic activities with relevant parties (such as SOC function and OSS Engineers) and perform corrective troubleshooting activities, in order to facilitate smoothness of business operations and roll-out operations, to enhance service quality
  • Perform basic activities to support assessment of vendors performances against set KPIs and targets, in order to ensure quality deliverables and service level, as well as to address and deal with any issues that may arise
  • Perform basic activities in maintaining relationship with vendors, in order to ensure smooth business operations and ease in work negotiation
  • Produce general documents and reports regarding roll-out teams and vendors activities and performance, in order to keep record and to facilitate relevant parties in decision-making
  • Perform basic activities to track, monitor, evaluate and periodically review the overall processes of roll-out activities and vendor management, as well as the overall processes of coordinating with relevant functions, in order to identify improvement opportunities, to ensure optimization of the operation
  • Perform analysis on benchmarking organizations in order to adopt market best practices into organization
  • Collect feedbacks from relevant parties and perform analysis to ensure business and other requirements are met
  • Assist senior members to perform conventional assignments or to identify and respond generic, basic issues, in order to ensure better understand of the processes for future references
  • Contribute, if needed, to the implementation of small, low complexity strategic project, which is simple and specific in nature, under guidance, in order to support senior members in the documentation or reporting of performance
  • Learn to use professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve patterned problems

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree in Electronics and Communication or equivalent
  • 2-3 years work experience
  • Knowledge of Power infra, Field Operations Services
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Proven experience in project management, driving change and leading teams
  • Well versed in using Power point to create management level presentations
  • Fluent in English
